The blend of design and function The leading European brand for high end contemporary curtain poles is now available in Australia and New Zealand, exclusively through Suntex. Combining fine craftsmanship and superb engineering, the Interstil collection offers:
Multi award-winning company Interstil is an independent family-owned German firm with 30 years of manufacturing experience and excellence. Interstil has won multiple design awards for its products and enjoys a long-standing reputation for innovation, design and quality. Sleek, continuous lines – up to 50% wider span without intermediate brackets Based on innovative bridge engineering, Interstil has developed the Integral® system – a unique self-tensioning mechanism that allows you to lift up a pole until it's perfectly straight, without any additional tension on the bracket. This allows wider spans without intermediate brackets – up to 50% wider spans than average curtain rods – and ensures straight rods for heavy curtains. The brackets and poles are extremely strong and will take large amounts of weight. Once the curtains are hung, it works by using a simple allen key to turn the head screw in the end of the rod, this tightens the hardened wire inside the rod and lifts up the role until it's perfectly straight. And due to the self tensioning mechanism, there is no extra tension on the brackets. Length of Spans – no intermediate bracket required:
Q. What warranty is provided on Interstil poles? A. A 5 year warranty applies to all poles from the date the order is shipped. This warranty provides against manufacturing defects and will not cover misuse or abuse of the product. It applies to all poles which are fitted by a qualified installer. Q. How does Integral work? A. Integral is a hardened wire mechanism which runs inside the length of the pole. It allows the installer to place tension on the system so a bowing pole can be straightened. Once the curtains or drapes have been hung, an allen key is used to turn the head screw in the end of the pole. This tightens the hardened wire, lifting up the bowing pole until it's straight. Q. Can I over-tighten or over-screw the Integral mechanism? A. No, you cannot. The mechanism is made from hardened wire which will not break. Q. What is the longest span I can have? A. The length of the span depends on the diameter of the pole selected. Using a 25mm pole fitted with the Integral system, you can span up to 340cm without using any intermediate brackets to support the pole. By adding one intermediate bracket, allowing you to have a centre-opening curtain, you can span up to 680cm. Q. How much weight can you hang from a pole? A. The brackets and poles are extremely strong and will take very large amounts of weight. The limitation will be the wall or point into which you are fitting the brackets. A large bracket is available which has a larger diameter and four fixing points where the wall requires you to have greater support. Q. What happens if I measure the Integral pole incorrectly and it does not fit? A. Double check all measurements because, once a pole is made using the Integral system, you cannot shorten it. If this occurs, the only option is to order a new pole. Q. What is the lead time on Integral poles? A. Approximately 2 weeks; they come directly from the manufacturer in Germany. All other standard poles are available within 2–3 working days. Q. How easy are they to install and fit? A. All the poles are easy to understand and install. There is a standardized mounting bracket across the range which requires drilling and screwing into a mounting plate only. Once you screw on the cover plate there are no visible screws. The brackets then automatically align with the tube. Finally, you attach the finials to the rod, which does not require the use of any tools. |
